Another Sim stole my apartment!

I have a sim I've been playing for a while. He lives in an apartment with a roomie. He has left the lot before to go to a community lot. However, this time when he left to go on a date, upon arriving back at the apartment building with date in tow, another sim had moved into his apartment! He was all paid up on his bills. Any help would be appreciated!

I discovered that this was caused by me using the build mode cheat while my Sim lived in the apartment. I moved everyone out of the building, made my building changes, and moved all my families back in. After that, everything worked great (in that regard).

Sorry for the offtopic, (I'd answer but I have no idea), build mode cheat? what is that? does it allow you to change apartment stuff?

Sorry for the delay in answering.

Yes, the build mode cheat in AL allows you access to all the build/buy tools that are otherwise disabled.

It is: boolprop aptsublotspecifictoolsdisabled [false/true]

False makes everything available, true turns it all off. I don't recommend using it to move the apartments front door while Sims are in residence :)
