I've been called goth, emo and punk before (I don't mind any, though I wouldn't consider myself emo or punk xD)
I think the one that irritates me most is 'scene'..Just what IS a 'scene kid'?
People should label less, though; at the end of the day, people that follow a certain stereotype or label are not awesomely nonconformist, no matter how 'alternative' Tongue

My least favorite is band nerd.

We are Band GEEKs. And proud. Not nerds. We are the sticky unconvential logic-defying jelly in the donut.

I've been called different types of geek/nerd for years and I wear the title(s) with pride. When people say it like it's supposed to be a bad thing, my response is, "If it wasn't for the geeks and nerds of the world, the human race would still be looking at fire and wondering what the hot, burny flickery stuff was."

Good definition of the word "geek" or "nerd" that I figured out. Someone called me one of the two once (which is stupid because I'm not even very smart) and the girl was sitting there, looking triumphant. I just said, "Okay, so that means my brain is bigger than my boobs then? Wish I could say the same for you, darling." It was extra funny because she was rather flat-chested.
