When I try to take screenshots of my game, whether using Prnt Scrn or Irfanview or a multitude of other screen capture programs, the screenshot pastes/opens as a blank, black rectangle. This did not happen before I got the NVidia GeForce 9600GT card. I installed the game AFTER installing the card and have tried updating the card drivers two times. I'd prefer to not reinstall the game obviously, as I have all expansion and stuff packs.

I CAN take pictures of the desktop.

EA told me to contact NVidia and NVidia tells me to contact EA. It's no one's fault apparently. I'm getting really pissed off. Can someone please tell me what can be done?

I really want to start writing stories but all I can figure to do is take pictures of my monitor with my camera... and yeah. NOT HAPPENING.

Help?

If you right click my computer, click manage, click device manager, click on display adapters, right click on geforce 9600, click properties,
click driver & you should see a button that says Roll Back Driver.

I hope you understand that tongue

Try to change the screen resolution in the game. I had the same thing, and it helped.

Well, I don't know if this is what caused it or not, but I noticed a little icon by my clock that had been installed with the video card driver, called "ASUS GamerOSD". Clicking on this icon opened a list of two commands: Settings and Exit. Clicking Settings brought up a window displaying information on... making screenshots and video captures, complete with hotkeys. I tried this, and lo and behold, I had screenshots of my game.
Hopefully this will help anyone with the same problem in the future. Issue resolved!

I might be mistaken, but that sounds like the bug caused by using the drafting table to draw a blue print or sketch, placing filters on the final product.  Then the filters aren't removed when the photobooth is used resulting in the blacked out image.  This was either fixed in the patch, with AL or by Pescado (but I can't find a specific mod to fix it).
