At my wits end... can anyone help me decipher these error logs?
EKozski:
Another thing you might want to try is, installing the game in Safe Mode.
Several people have had problems and once they installed the game in, Safe Mode, they had no problems.
amc462000:
let's go back to when the problem first occured. Did it start happening after you installed a new EP? or after a downloading session?
ancienthighway:
As an add on to amc's questions, does it happen when you have no custom content in your game, i.e. Downloads and SavedSims removed.
caffeinated.joy:
Danceswithwands, in the future can you please upload your error logs as attachments rather than pasting them into your post? The option to attach to your post can be found under "additional options".
Now, that code is a rather ambiguous code. It can be caused by a faulty driver, bad RAM, spyware, a poorly fragmented drive or even a faulty video card.
Start with cleaning your computer of spyware and unecessary files, then defragment and do a virus scan. If that doesn't fix it, go on to the drivers. After that it's time to consider you might have faulty RAM. You can get a memory diagnostic tool here.
danceswithwands:
Thanks for all the suggestions.
I'm going to do all the things suggested and see what happens.
I do have a problem with being a download-a-holic, but I have also tried running a completely "bare" game, still crashes.
Sorry Joy- I didn't even think about doing those as an attachment but I suppose that would have made a lot more sense. :-\
