School Bus on Apartment Lots

i tried to make sure this wasn't already a topic and i dont think it is but i apologize if i missed it.
whenever i play a family that lives in an apartment, the school bus does not come to pick up the children/teens. there's not even a "school bus will arrive in an hour" note. anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Sure it's not a bug, or an old hack messing up your game?
I've played little with the apartments myself, but I do think the school bus came. You also have the option to drive the kid to school, and the kid can even walk to school (not sure if this was a feature of AL or FT, though)
I made a father drive a child to school in the helicopter too - imagine arriving like that :)

2DOH lol k ill see if the kids can walk since the fam doesnt have a car. but i did play another family where the children are in private school and the bus worked so maybe its just public school 1hmmm thanks!

the bus always comes both for private and public school for me...
Sure it's not a hack? Maybe some kind of homeschooling hack?

I just got AL and the bus never showed for my Sim kids. That happened the first time I played with the first family I moved into the apartment building. I just quit playing with apartments. I fail to see the attraction of apartment life but since I only tried it the one time, I really can't judge.
