Sims game won't start at ALL.

When I click the Sims icon for it to start, it takes a few seconds and then this comes up:
I took out the downloads folder and tried to run it again, but the picture still appeared. You would think that there would be some words on it, telling you what is wrong, but there is nothing. It's so weird. Do you guys have any idea what is wrong this time?

Try deleting your, groups.cache and accessiories.cache.
Those are right inside your Sims 2 folder.
Since you have Vista, I don't know the exact path to your My Documents Folder.

As you have Bon Voyage EP, it's the protection of the Securom. Any change in the computers files prevents starting the game. Even surfing on the Net.
When you are going to play TS2, restart your computer, and start the game from the Start Menu (not clicking on the shortcut).

I doubt it is SecuROM protection so much as a borked .cache file doing this.
