Change object decor while in live mode

Can a hack that can allow objects to be changed in the live mode, instead of having to go into the buy/built mode be created? For instance I like changing the bedding of my sims beds, as I have them going through their home cleaning, as I love to do in real life. But I hate having to switch out of live mode, and going to the buy/build mode. I want to click on an objects to change the decor in live mode just like I can click on or off a light in the live mode.

No, it's not possible to do a mod like that. That would require modifying the core Sims 2 game files to modify the way the game runs or performs a certain task.
