JacobM:
on my 'castaway' lot, i'm receiving an object error when i'm in debug mode. it says 'too many iterations'.
when i'm not in debug mode, the sim just resets. this happens every time i click on another sim.
what could this be ??

i'm attaching one of the errors i've recieved. i only get one error per sim. i get more than one if i try clicking on the sim multiple times.
i hope that makes sense?

ancienthighway:
I'm guessing you have ACR in the game.  I doubt ACR is compatible with Castaways, try removing it.

rwills:
My (admittedly very limited) understanding is that most Sims2 non-hacked objects and such  custom content will generally work fine in Castaway Stories, but that virtually no Sims2 mods will be compatible.

There are Castaways-specific mods though, such as here (free reg. req,):

.

JacobM:
sorry, i think you misunderstood. i'm not playing in castaway stories. i'm playing in regular sims 2. i mean i'm playing in the 'castaway type' lot i set up.

rwills:
In that case do you have the HCDU? If so, run it.

If not, install it and run it to get a list of most (but not necessarily all) poetntial hack conflicts. Note that the list generated does not differentiate between harmless and harmful conflicts, but it is a good starting point for tracking down the malefactor.

Paladin's Hack Conflict Detection Utility here (click Sims 2 --Programs to find it there):

Just in case, should mention that, at least in my game, attempting to use some extracted-for-Sims2 Castaway Stories stuff caused serious problems, so those had to be taken out of the game.
