Changing Outfits of Guests

I really hope this is possible, but everything I have tried so far has failed.
I want to change the clothes of my guests; I have already changed the apperance and names of two of them [previous townie Trista Shaw and playable sim Andrew Riley], but their maxis clothes look hideous compared to the amazing make overs I just gave them.
I have the Insiminator [object version], that's how I changed their appearances and the "get for free" coat rack [not the clothing rack as that conflicts with other mods I have].
I have tried making them selectable and them purchasing their outfits, and then getting them to plan outfit, but the outfits I bought aren't there.
Hopefully there is a way to do this without SimPE as it'll be easier.

You could temporarily add them to the household, buy and change clothes, then using one of Inge Jones teleporters make them a townie or move them out.
If you have OFB, open a business then "suggest outfit" for all your sims.
But by far the easiest way would be with Christianlove's Clothing Rack. If it conflicts with other mods, I'd say get rid of the other mods.

I did have christianlove's clothing rack, but I can't remember what conflicted with it, i'll have a see! Oh no wait, that was it, it was the pregnancy wear anything I *think*...
