patio covers / awnings, whatever they are called

I have always wondered about this but always forget to ask. In build mode, those patio cover / awning things that you drag to cover a space - are they at all recolorable or clone-able? I hate the colors they are & almost never use them. If they could be recolored I might use them, even though I can't stand the stupid legs all over the place. Does anyone know if this is do-able or point me in the right direction?
