One more tip, just in case you don't know it: If you're doing the opposite (changing a community lot to residential), then remember to download the buyable mailbox and trashcan from here (sims 2 - hacks/mods - buyable trashcan/mailbox).
There are different versions, so use the one that fits your game :)

Awesome, thank you!  I grabbed those now, because otherwise I'll be converting a community lot somewhere down the line and be thinking, "Where was that site with the mailbox and stuff again?"  ;)
