need help pls my cc's not showing up

The first time I wrote this I just jibbered and didn’t bother with full stops or reading what I had wrote because I just wanted some answers quickly so I could try and fix the game before I went out so this is the re-written hopefully more understandable version. I had pets ofb and nightlife on the computer and for some reason my computer stopped recognising the pets disc so I uninstalled pets, took out the pets cc from my downloads folder and played with the ofb disc. It loads fine and the cc screen shows up when it's loaded but just lists mods and some cars. When I try and create a family though no cc shows up only the original maxis stuff even though I’ve got tons of cc. I've restarted about 5 times but it still doesn’t show. I’ve checked and unchecked show cc and that doesn’t work. I uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled and that didn’t work either. All my cc's still in the downloads folder I categorise everything by type and even tried putting everything in the mods subfolder to see if it would recognise it but still nothing. Anyone have anymore suggestions? Thanks x

First, your complete lack of capitals where needed or punctuation makes this really hard to read.

No leet/text speak - eg: Lets c whu cn m@ke teh most complic@ted l33t spek ev@rr is not acceptable. A lot of users here have English as a second language and have a hard enough time understanding as it is. To that end, please make an effort to use proper grammar and spelling. We don't expect everyone to have perfect textbook English, but the clearer you are, the better you will be understood, and the more response you'll get to help questions, or any post in general. We are not the grammar police here and understand typos happen and not everyone is a perfect speller, but if you're not using periods, commas, capital letters and a reasonable semblance of accurate spelling out of pure laziness, we will call you on it.

Now, if this was the first time you've played since reinstalling, then you have to restart the game after enabling your custom content to allow the game to load it properly. The first time you run the game, it won't do it by default. There are few more things to make sure of:

You have all needed meshes.
Your not using cc requiring an EP or SP you don't have.
Your Downloads folder is spelled properly (the way I have it spelled here).

You should also remember that it's very smart to take a backup of the game files, and also the downloads, before uninstalling EPs or SPs. Uninstalling any of them can mess up the game files.

Don't worry about the cache files. They're even safe to delete (I always do it before starting up the game, since these files are easily corrupted. Sometimes the game won't even start because of them).

And are you sure everything is still in your Downloads folder?
