With Miles at school and Angel at Day care, Marcus and Simone had the whole day to themselves.
And they wasted absolutely no time
To conclude the perfection that was their day without kids. Marcus took Simone out on to the balcony, played her favorite CD and spent the next hour dancing with his wife in his arms.
Simone hadn't spent this much time with Marcus since they got married. Words couldn't describe how happy she was. Unfortunately, all good things must eventually come to an end...
"HELL NO, THAT BOY AIN'T STAYING HERE!"
"Simone please! Have a heart! These guys were wandering around school looking for D-Roy. He thinks it might be people he owes drug money to."
"That's even more of a reason for me to not let him stay! I don't need him here, endangering my family"
"Please mam" D-Roy begged "Just let me stay till things calm down"
"Absolutely NOT!" Simone yelled "It's bad enough my baby has to live with her bad influence of a brother but I wont have her live under the same roof as a junkie!"
"DAD" Miles shouted "Grow a backbone and talk some sense into your wife"
Marcus didn't know what to say. He half agreed with Simone but at the same time, he wanted to please Miles. Right before he was about to say "Alright, he can stay".....
"Don't drag your father into this like he's gonna disagree with me!" Simone said before Marcus even had a chance to answer
"Simone! I'm begging you! They know where he lives, he'll die if he goes home"
"I didn't say he had to go home" Simone said "He just can't stay here."
After about 10 more minutes of pointless arguments, Simone chased D-Roy out of the house with her "Broom of Doom". Afterwards, Miles stormed upstairs to his bedroom (but not before giving his father a look that Marcus could only guess was a mixture of anger and pure hatred)
"He'll be fine" Miles said to himself "He's probably home right now, getting high. Yeah, that's it. He's fine"
Unfortunately, Miles had no idea how wrong he was
