Blank message!

I tried to load sims 2 AL- same as normal. A few seconds after I clicked the play button a window popped up that was about an eigth of the size of a normal window and it had the sims2 symbol, and a bix X... Help?!

Mine did the same thing the other day! (I have AL, too) and it wouldn't fix itself so I had to download the Sims 2 Store Edition to play.

Theraven:
Usually means the game crashed. I've had that message once in a while.
Try deleting the cache files. That usually works for me.
