Kat & Kim Families
Hammie:
Will placing their lots into my hood cause corruption? I read you shouldn't put occupied lots into your hood, but I'm trying to play all the premades.
miros1:
I would do this:
1) Backup the original hood if you intend to play it ever again. Start the game.
2) Evict them from their original lots; there might be story controllers hidden there.
3) Move them into new houses or even a vacant lot. You can do both families on one lot if you want.
4) Make a note of all their names.
5) From neighborhood view, package the lot by clicking on it.
6) If you're paranoid, quit the game.
7) Clean up the crap: Very important! If you skip this step, you can load all kinds of crap into the 'hood they're moving to.
7a) Open the packaged lot with Clean Installer.
7b) Check "lotsegment" and the Sims listed in step 4.
7c) Uncheck all custom content and any other Sims.
7d) Save with a different name, like "Kat and Kim Clean".
8) Install the house.
9) Start the game if you quit in step 6.
10) Switch to the new 'hood.
11) Select and place the lot.
12) If you want the original hood back, quit the game and restore from the back up in step 1.
Whatever you do, do not place the lot in the original 'hood. That's even worse than skipping step 7.
Mods: sorry about the large red type, but it was important!

Yes both the "Kat & Kim Families" are safe to put into your game but you can not put them back in the bin for that will corrupt your game.
Both the Kat & Kim Families were made by EA and placed in the bin for you can only place the once.
miros1 OP is placing them for the first time.
miros1:
Thought the Kat lot was placed somewhere. Been a while since I played them!
As long as you're careful, you can put the house in another hood, but make darn sure you do step 7!
Theraven:
The family+house combos made by EA - isn't there one per neighborhood? And neighborhoods have nothing much to do with each other, as long as we're talking separate hoods and not sub-hoods.
So it's not smart to put them in both the main hood and a sub-hood, but apart from the general danger with occupied lots I can't see why it would be a problem to place them in different hoods (again, main hoods). Putting them back into the bin is also not good.
