Blotchy nude skintones

(1/1)

nina:
Is it inevitable that using Body Shop to import custom nude skintones results in streaked and blotchy looking Sims?

Thanks, this is interesting. As I use a Mac, I'm screwed for simPE. However, my partner has an XP laptop I could use occasionally.
Do you think if I did all my artwork on the Mac in psd, converted it to PNG, and then transferred it the XP to finish, that would work? Or does simPE require a TS2 installation on the same disc?
Also, does simPE require any expanded memory to work efficiently.
Sorry to be a nuisance, but this is really bugging me.:violent2:
Actually, I'm tackling this same issue with meremale elsewhere...

I thank you both for your great support.

PNG is probably fine.  I usually do uncompressed TIFF's.  Just make sure your partner has the latest nVidia DDS Texture Tools installed and import the texture into SimPE using the Build DXT... command (don't import the TIFF directly, or you will get SimPE's crappy default conversion and your textures will look like poo).

Cool! When my partner gets back from touting hi-tech toilet seats at some bathrooms exhibition in Shanghai, I'll make a start.
Thanks again.
