A fathers Sacrifice. The End Tribute added

Adam stood back at the cemetery watching Cade and Mia bury their daughter on the day he should have been there making her his wife. His face was dry, but inside he cried. He would never again feel her in his arms, hold her while she slept or hear her when she spoke.
No one noticed him watching, they were all wrapped up in their own grief. Adam looked across the faces, her mother reminded him so much of Morgan. Everything about her was the same.
He waited for everyone to leave, but he didn’t walk over to the open grave straight away. He just stood and watched as if by standing there she would come back and not be cold in the coffin. It wouldn’t be real if he didn’t see the flowers carefully arranged to spell her name.
He tried to force him self to walk forward, but he couldn’t, his body wouldn’t do it. He turned instead and walked out of the cemetery. He just followed his feet down the road slowly. Life buzzed all around him, but he didn’t hear it.
He stood at the crossing. The barrier was down and the red light was flashing. He could hear the metal wheels grinding against the metal tracks as the train approached. The faint chug chug of the mechanism getting closer singing through his head like a gentle lullaby. He walked forward past the warning light.
The train screeched to a halt. People got out of their cars, some screaming, and some looking in disbelief as to what they had just witnessed. Even the top half of the body sticking out under the train weren’t real. The driver got out and ran to him. He bent down and felt for a pulse, even though there was no possible way life would be flowing through the veins. A crowd quickly gathered, but no one noticed as Adam got up and walked past them all. They were more concerned about the body of a young man that was trapped under the train.
Sirens sounded in the distance, the wailing barley heard above the noise of the people by the train. Adam wasn’t interested though. He didn’t look; it was no concern to him. Only one thing mattered now.
He walked through the gap in the barrier. Smiling he swept her up into his arms and pressed his mouth against hers. She cupped his face and looked into his eyes smiling.
“I love you Adam.” Said Morgan.
“I love you too.” He replied.

Epilogue six years later
Cade sat in his usual place under the big willow tree at the bottom of his garden. His granddaughter watched him curiously for a moment before walking over to him. "Grandpa?"
"Yes Vanessa." He said smiling at her.
She sat down next to him and looked up at the big branches stretching over them. "Why do you sit under this big tree?"
"I come here to be close to your mother and talk to her." He said.
Vanessa thought for a moment about his answer, her face looking at him in wonder. "But grandma says Mummy is in heaven with the angels."
"She is sweetheart." he said smiling at her. She looked so much like her mother had at that age. He could almost see Morgan looking out through Vanessa's eyes.
She stared at him, not sure of his answer. "Then why do you talk to the tree."
"Your mummy is all around us, I just feel closer to her here, this is the tree we planted for your mummy and daddy."
"Did Mummy die because she was bad?" she asked pleased with his answer.
"No Vanessa, she died because she was brave."
"Did daddy die because he was bad?"
"No." he said as he gently shook his head.
Vanessa watched the tree for a moment as the breeze gently lifted up its green leaves and put them down again. "Then why did he die?"
"He died because he loved your mummy too much and his heart was broken."
"Could it not be fixed?"
"No it couldn’t, but he is better now and they will both be with the angels watching you grow up."

awwwww i knew everything was going too smoothly what a sad ending.i can't believe you lilled both of them either, maybe vanessa's life won't be as bad as her mom's and grandmothers lives were, but i know flid will figure some way to torment her as well.
really great story though just didn't like the way it ended.i got attached to both morgan and adam throughout this story and hate that they both died (or did they?) flid has brought a few from beyond the grave before but i don't see how she will this time.
