This, ladies and gentlemen, represents my first attempt at a contemporary/modern design. Please let me know if you think I should just stick to traditional houses. Wink

The Monterrey offers the following for the young upwardly mobile Sims:

Large master bedroom with balcony
Smaller bedroom for one or two children
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom
Sitting/reading/playing area overlooks the living room
Dining room
Kitchen
Living room with small room off of it that could be used for exercise equipment or an easel or guitar (or whatever your Sims want to use it for)
Swimming pool

Cost: 73K unfurnished except for kitchen and bathrooms
Lot Size: 2x4

Custom Content:

Windows and doors by Moon_Ez (I love his work)

Invisible Driveway by roddyaleixo  (building would be no fun without this one)

I like to keep the custom content to a minimum since I'm new at this sharing my lots business, so do me a favor when you install this lot, please go and find some modern looking floors that you like to put in it. The Maxis floors are so boring and inappropriate for houses like this. Something like these would look really nice.

I think I will probably work on making my own collection of floors to use in the future.  Anyway, enough rambling from me!  Enjoy.

Fancy car not included.

UPDATE 06/22/06

I've been experimenting with Home Crafter and have created a wood plank floor that I think looks halfway decent. I've installed it in this house and have packaged it to offer it to you here. I have also changed the exterior from the white brick to the paste stucco, so it looks a little more modern. Please let me know what you think of the floor. I also fixed the swimming pool ladder.

If you want this version, download R777 Monterrey_2.rar

PS The pictures don't really do it justice. It looks much nicer in game.

PPS I think I forgot the swimming pool ladder! Check it before your Sims dive in.

Thanks!

I don't know why the white brick doesn't photograph well--it always looks pink in the pics.
