a few questions if I may.
collector9:
hi.
got Sim2 when it wsa released way back and did play it some then and now installed it again. got a few of the expansions as well.
now to the questions I got, some may sound stupid but =)
do each expansion need their own catalog or can I direct them all to the sims2 folder? I don´t remember what the setup said and I always install my games to other directories then the original c:\ path.
are there any way to get your Sims2 serial back from the EA Sims2 homepage?

what expansions do you feel are the 'need to have' expansions installed?
pets are cute but do the expansion give anything else?
thanks in advance
mieley:
i dont know much about the top questions but as for expansions, pets is fun the first few times you play but when you play as much as i do, it gets a little boring =\. I personally love Nightlife because of the vampires factor. Uni is okay, but it takes FOREVER for a sim to graduate college. OFB, idk yet because I'm buying it along with the new seasons pack at the same time (comes out in February).
nova-storm:
You can call EA and I think for $10 the give you a new CD. I could be wrong. They will want proff you have a reg copy active on thesims2.com I think. I could very well be wrong about it all.
Serafina:
You are right nova they will send you a new CD. I am not sure on the new Code however. You will have to prove that you have registered a genuine code before on their website. Please contact EA reguarding this!
Jenna:
In regards to your serial codes, there are a few legal ways to get them back. The links below are from MTS2.

Alternatively, if your games were previously installed on the same computer, there's a program on MTS2 that'll pull the serial codes from your system registry:
