pets uninstalled

hi.

had all expansions and extras installed some months ago.
some hacks I wanted didn´t work under PETS and I decided that I didn´t realy need the pets running around on my lot etc.

so I made a backup of my c:\documents sims2 catalog and removed all my sims installs (I re-installed windows so everything had to go anyway).

now I have installed everything except PETS and the Holiday Pack.

but I got a huge problem
I didn´t think of all my sims etc. I made in my neighborhood. and the buildings etc. all I realy thought of when I copied the entire sims2 catalog was the addons.

is there any way to get my custom sims etc. back? I got the neighborhood backuped, but when I tried to just copy things over the game crashed at startup so I figure something is left of PETS that fails.

any ideas how to gete it all back?

You needed to use the backup of your hoods you should have made before you installed pets. Using the backup from after the installation of pets will not work.

Exactly what Micco said.  Unfortunately buildings and sims saved with a more recent ep than the one you have install make them unusable.
