Help fixing what I broke please

Hello,

  I have the "hide Maxis clothing/hair" in my game.  However, for some reason this also enables you to delete Maxis content.  Well, I was in accessories and accidentally deleted a Maxis glasses.
  Now I get to the CAS screen, and click on the create a sim button and the game just keeps cycling.  Won't load a sim at all.
  What I want to do is replace the file that contained those glasses with a backup file if there is one.
  So, can someone tell me what file the glasses are stored in?
  Or can someone offer another way to fix the problem? (other than totally reinstalling the game, of course.  lol)

Hmm that is strange... I tried to delete a maxis hair just to see if it would because it was marked as custom but it wouldn't let me. So I'm not really sure you can do anything about it. I had a similar problem and the only way to fix it was to reinstall the whole game, sorry.
