Update Problems; After Installing ..

Hello; I've just formatted my computer & I'm installing all Sims EP's again;
Sims 2 went okay; But when I started to install the EP's, I've always this error:

"The update process did not complete successfully, Installation will now terminate."

Is there a way to neglect this "Automatic Update" or what ?
I'm really stuck; And all my CD's are clean & no scratches!
Thanks in advance; I really need some help with this! =(

Did you install the patch for TS2 after installing it?  This could be the problem.

Installing the EPs in the order they were released will make most of the necessary patches for you, i.e., in order, Uni, NL, OFB, FFS, GLS, Pets, Seasons.  Just skip the ones you don't have.
