would one of your hacks cause this problem

I cannot get the option to get a job for my pet. I have 5 pets but I cannot get the option to get a job for them either from the paper or computer. Any ideas?

I had a newspaper hack but I removed it. I do not have any computer hacks that I am aware of. I have run the program to detect conflicting mods but it comes up clean. I do not know what the problem is. I have yet to remove insimenator and try that. I would not think that is the problem though because I have not seen another post about this problem on the forums.
