Ep's not showing up?

Hi all
My brother ( a recent convert to sims) is having trouble with his game. Hope someone here can help him!
Since starting to play today having installed it on an external hard-drive, he has found that his game is nw onlt regestering that he has the base game and sesons installed, even tho he has all of them on his PC ... any clues? He's desperate and im clueless!!

The only solution I've heard is to reinstall everything.  Maybe someone will come along that has experienced this and can share their solution.
