Bathrooms Act Funny

All my sims seem to see through the bathroom doors and walls when they go past nd someone is in there. A thought bubble appears with a red X through the face of whoever is taking a bath/shower or using toilet.

Whats going on?

As long as I can remember sims just know who's in the bathroom and does that bubble.  I don't think there's anything out there to stop it.
