I can't get any mods to work

I've downloaded a bunch of package files and put them in my downloads folder, but nothing's changed.  Also I can't find where the Insimenator is (although that might be because it isn't installed)

For starters you need to make sure that you have enabled custom content. Also they need to be compatiable with whatever games you have installed. What games are you currently running and what mods are you referring to?
