The House Of Toreador

Arminia, the Master Vampiress was resting in her quarters when she was awaken by one of her own kind. Selenus, the Elder slammed the door and entered the room.

- Wake up, my dear, for the moment is come.
- I'm sorry Selenus, I'm half awake. What is the matter? Why are you here and not resting in your dormitory? It is day.
- It cannot wait. Get up!

Arminia got up that very instant. She was sleepy but very curious about what the old vampire had to tell her.

- Some time ago I told you you would bare me a child. Do you remember that?

Yes, she did, but would not dare confess it.

- No I confess I don't remember that, my darling. What was it about?
- I see you can pretend very well, my child. Prepare yourself, for tonight we will be one.

- I'm sorry Selenus. Come back to your senses, please! I beg of you!
- You do not know what lays ahead. Be warned and be ready

He left the room the same way he had entered.

"A child of the Eldest Toreador? He must be out of his mind!"

Later on that very same night...

Arminia was alone in her bedroom.
A bat came from the window. She didn't even looked at the animal so used to them she was.
The bat transformed himself in a very charming young man.
He didn't ask Arminia's name or what she was doing there alone.

He just held her and kissed her.

It was like morphine, a bitter sweet sensation and she wanted more and more...
He possesed her and she wanted him every minute.

Arminia woke up the other night and found a note in her bedroom. It was written in blood. His blood:

"My dearest Madam,

Thank you for the sweetest night of my life and death. Now I've accomplished my mission I can cross the Stynx.
The child you will give birth to shall be named Psiqué.
She must have a special someone to take care of her and guad her live with his/her own. She will help us fulfill the Prophecy.
Watch for the Tremere for they are our enemies, and especially Ashton Aldridge. He is the ally of the enemy.

Yours eternally

Sellenus"

vita4all:
I'm haven't been into vampire stories for a long time, but checked out yours. I liked it. I enjoyed your well-developed plot and the photo-layout (beautiful sims, by the way). Your section, The Prophecy, was my favorite: it's so excellent that'll remember it for a long time.

Cathy:
Thanks for your kind words, vita4all
I'm updating it as soon as I can. Now I've just reposted the last part of the previous post. The pic was not showing, so here it is...

Arminia never thought she would miss Selenus that much. His advices always had been precious to the clan. The nights were long now the Elder had gone. But soon she would have company again... she was three months pregnant...

And then she had company again: a wolf. A beautiful and big, black wolf.
It showed up whan she first felt her baby move and it followed her all over. The she decided she would adopt it. And she named it Anteros.

Everything was ready for the baby to arrive and Arminia was being a full time mom. She had given up being the Head of the clan, at least for the time being. She was sure she would never be that again...

The baby arrived in the winter.

And it was a beautiful girl. She had Arminia's eyes. Or so she thought. But she sure had Arminia's red hair.

Arminia named her Psiqué, according to the instructions she had received from Selenus.
Psiqué grew up to be a beautiful toddler. Her hair was red and so were her eyes. And she was a very calm child. She hardly ever complain about anything, except from food.

Psiqué - cont'd

The day (better saying, the night) has come when Psiqué's guardian revealed himself. He came from the Hades and he had been serving Hades till then. His name was Nemésius*...

Arminia could not accept the fact that he was going to take care of  her baby from that time on. It was unacceptable!! She was the mother!!

- I'm sorry, Lady Arminia, but I have my orders and I intend to carry them on. Even if I have to pass over you.

She objected strongly.

Arminia went to her coffin-bed in the morning and never woke up again...

*Nemésius = Nemesis = revange in Greek. Nemesis is the goddess of revange
