I've been trying to do this last night, and I was wondering do you but this cheat in at the neighborhood screen or in the family mode? Thanks for anyone's help.

You could really do it at anytime you want. I've done it at the neighborhood screen, and while on a lot and it worked fine for me. Just be sure to type familyFunds (familyname) (+/-amount). The game gets really picky with caps and such.

I've never had to worry about the caps, and I find if I type in how much i want them to have, it works fine. For eg, if I want the Smith family to have 60,000 simoleans, I just type familyfunds Smith 60000

Oh yeah, silly me, forgot about that. Usually, I'm adding an amount to however much money the sim already has. Maybe it's just my game, but it gets really picky about the caps.
