Hi All!
I sure hope I am not the only one with this problem but I cannot seem to rectify it and, I dare not remove every expansion I have due to this one big glitch.

Seasons seems to be playing fine so far in my pleasantville neighborhood...just a few small things had to be fixed (Some furniture changed etc.) My other *Hoods* seem Ok too even tho I do not play them much.

BUT when I try to play "The included neighborhood, Riverblossom Hills, I can guarantee it crashes every time I go to try to click neighborhood view or when it randomly feels like it. I have taken all Hacks etc, and DL folder out and did all the right things before install. I removed all my hacks (No Global)... crashes still. (Other neighboorhoods fine.) I feel like just getting rid of the neighborhood but I am very curious has anyone else had bugs with it? I googled and seems there are plenty of bugs out there still not addressed but I do not like the full crash that goes right into a reboot on my pc. MY drivers are up to date in fact my whole pc had a total overhaul and new processer and my video card is fine. Is this neighborhood important enough to keep for proper gameplay?
Its Riverblossom Hills area. I save, go to the Neighboor hood veiw or try to exit and CRASH. I have not even tried to go to a shopping district or anything yet, the crashes are hard on PC.
Any feedback will be great.
I will NOT reinstall all expansions etc. That is simply nuts, when I know its not me when taking all custom content and hacks out. Plus I would be here for days and would not want to play anymore when done.

Thankyou for any feedback:angel:
Hugs

Have you downloaded any lots recently and put them into the Riverblossom Hills neighborhood?  The reason I ask is if a lot for an EP you don't have is in the 'hood, it could cause this sort of crash.

As far as the hood itself, the only thing different from it and others is most of the lots have garden plots or fishing ponds on them already.

You could try deleting the lot, then next time you run the game if it doesn't reinstall itself and you'd like to try it, copy
Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Seasons\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods\G001

Hi There ancienthighway
Thankyou for the reply. I have not put anything into Sims at all, since the new install. I have been basically checking things out is all. I seen a post similar to this one where the neighborhood itself looked bad from neighboorhood view, which mine sorta does, but once in the neighborhood its fine. So I could not relate to her post. I am beginning to think the *Hood * is just down right glitchy. I would love to try the new hood but what I think I will do is go in and double check all my settings AGAIN for the millionth time. This kind of thing gets me so down in the mouth, this is the first expansion I ever had a problem with.

I will return hopefully with better news...

Thankyou so much:-P

Hi There!
I did run thru the tutorial, however it did not fix a thing. So then I decided to try to reinstall seasons, took out all hacks as before, and now things have been alright a couple days. I am checking things slowly. I seen someone else here post a picture of the neighborhood overview (Riverblossom) looking like *straw* and, just plain icky. (I have that same problem.) I have a brand spankin new video card (Compatible with game)and I just think its the quality of perhaps how the *Weather* is presented on that view, because once you are in it, seems fine. I am on high video graphics setting too.

At least thusfar I am not crashing, seems to have stopped when switching to neighborhood menu..because the main reason I unstalled and reinstalled was because that began happening in Pleasantveiw too. Perhaps something went haywhire upon install the first time who knows. I will not count my chickens just yet either...I know better.

My crashes stopped, however, this expansion has so many glitches if it acts up too bad again, after I put my few hacks back peice by peice again, I will just remove it till they come out with another much needed patch IMO.

I do not feel bad I let it sit on my desk for a couple months before I installed it anyway, because of all the bugs it had at first. This is the first patch I have seen go in so unsmoothly. I wonder, (thank goodness I do not create) if its worth the risk of building up all your homes and hoods business etc, just to have to go thru things that change, I had tons of CC to fix. Is it worth loosing all that info...and all that work....too me not. I think Maxis should have worked weather in earlier in the beginning of release this way they could have built around such a dramatic change.

Thanks for the help, and listening. Smiley

I'm having this problem.  I kept locking up and/or crashing out of that neighborhood.  Tried using it the neighborhood as a new one and when I try to go into a lot and/or go to the family screen I lock up and have to task manager out.

Hi Servanye,
Well you know the ole saying misery loves company lol. Seriously sorry you are having the problem as well. Once I reinstalled seasons and installed it again, it seems to have stopped. Then again I have not really *Played* with Riverblossom, in fear I am going to make something happen. I dont even see this issue addressed up at Maxis, but it has to be...and I sure hope they fix the blasted thing. GL...if you get lucky drop a line...try a reinstall of just seasons, remove all your hacks (mine I keep in a subfolder in downloads) and go thru the process again. Make sure you get the patch. Then try it again. You never know.
