Changing seats

Can anyone tell me how you change which seats your sims dine from once they have sat down? Is it possible? I have no idea at all!!:smt120

Any help much appreciated!

They cannot change place unless you cancel the action, clic on the plate so they pick it up again and then might use another chair to fnishih eating.

If the plates are already place on the table, while your sim is selected, simply click on a specific plate and choose "eat" so your sim will sit there to eat.
