trouble with the "teen to young adult without going to college"

Hi!  I'm having trouble with the "Teens to young adult without going to college" hack, and I was hoping someone might be able to help me.  

First of all, just to clarify, am I supposed to be able to have both neighborhood young adults and real uni young adults at the same time?

The problem I'm having is that when I use the hack, I can play young adults in my base neighborhood, but my real uni young adults all age to adult at the turn of the hour.  

I was hoping to be able to play young adults both in my base neighborhood and the university at the same time.

Oh, and I have all EPs, I am not using Inteen, and I ran the conflict detection and everything came up clean.

Strange are you using the EP5 version?
