Downloads gone

My downloads are gone i installed H&M today and it said there was an error  and to uninstall season and re-install it and i did and i noticed when it started my downloads are gone the whole folder what can i do? please help me :'(

i read a review about H&M that says:

"there was a problem with the game installation concerning the Seasons expansion and updating that program. The game stated that Seasons had to be uninstalled and then reinstalled. That meant all downloaded content was erased."

you will have to download everything again

OMG I feel like crying!!! Thanks a lot for the information I would def. read around before installing now.

Before you install or remove any ep, make sure next time to do a back-up before like the game is asking you.

It would have saved you from all this trouble.

every time I reload my laptop from the ground up, I grab the download folder and drag it to a backup usb hd, and then when I add new items to the new download folder I update the old on the usb to match, saves me alot of time considering it takes a bit over 2 hours to reload the sims2 and all of the ep's.
