What's up with the doors in Nightlife?

Ever since I bought the Nightlife expansion pack, I've been unable to place doors in the house walls. I doubt this hasn't happened to anyone else. Do you guys know what's going on?
It's getting rather annoying, really.

Any help appriciated! ♥

Hmmmm, are you using the "moveobjects on" cheat? If so that could be the problem and turning the cheat off should fix the problem.

I'm not using any cheats at all. Just motherlode, but I really doubt that has anything to do with it.
The items won't stay "on the tiles", if you know what I mean. I'm having a hard time expressing myself, because English isn't my first language.
