White squares on while playing the sims

Ok...this is what I can think to try off the top of my head. Click on start>run and type dxdiag. Click on the Display tab and make sure Direct draw acceleration, direct 3d acceleration and agp texture acceleration are all enabled. Ideally, you should also see "No problems found" in the box on the bottom". Also, it could be something as simple as a loose cable. Hopefully, it's not a sign of faulty RAM, but that's a possibility too.

His card should work fine. I have a friend who ran her game off the 7600 just fine. I used to run my game on the ATI 9650, which also isn't on the list, and it worked fine.

dxdiag says everything is fine, It could be possible that it is bad ram, But the squares only show on the sims 2. The other games I play are fine and they are more demanding then the sims, like neverwinter nights 2, Gta: San Andreas. I have check the wires 3 times and there tight as they can get.
