Problem error, any suggestions?

Alright, so I'm not too good with fixing problems ingame, etc.. so I'm asking for somebodies help.. if you have any idea please let me know.
Whenever I load a family into a house, or even just go to a house that's already got people in it, this error comes up that says "An error occured in object "JobData-Adult-Atheletics"#586. Error: invalid constant"
But, if i press reset it keeps popping up with a new number so then i press delete and it keeps coming up for all of the career paths.. criminal, law inforcement, etc. so i have to keep pressing delete, and the game then works, but it happens every time..
anyone ever heard of this? please let me know if you know anything that I can make to have it stop.

Next time you are in game, open the cheat window (Ctrl-Shift-C) and type boolprop testingcheatsenable true. Then go to one of the houses you were having problems with. When the Object Error message pops up, it will tell you a file that in wrote it's information too. Attach that file to a post here.

I had the same problem,and people told me it was a custom career but I do not have any in my game. What I did was I put an older "Sims 2" folder in the EA Games folder which brought me back to a point before the issue. Yeah I lost some of the progress I'd made but it was worth it.

This is an error with custom careers. If you were to open the first one with Notepad and find JobData, you'll find 10 "JobData - Adult - Athletics" in the file. There should only be one. Take any custom careers and majors you have out of your game's folder or rename them from .package to .off. This includes Night School. Give the game another try. It should work now, but without your custom careers, you can expect jobs to be messed up a bit.
Now one at a time add the custom careers and majors back into your game, try it, and see if it works. If not, trash the career.
