need help, please!

the sims application on my computer just wont open and i dont know why.

i tried it 100 times and it says in task manager that it isnt even open after ive clicked my sims 2 seasons shortcut a whole bunch of times. its so weird. i even let my computer rest overnight because i thought it may have been a little overheated from being on all day but i woke up this morning and it still didnt work.

i tried taking out the downloads folder to see if anything i recently downloaded was the issue, but it wasnt that either. and its not like i changed anything recently, my game was working last night, until i turned it off to go searching for a new default alien skin because i didnt like the one i had in game. the only new things i downloaded was a few free items from tsr after finding my new alien default (here on insim.net). i really want to see how the default i found looks in game, but the game just wont start. does anyone have any idea what could be my problem?

Something like this happened  to me yesterday. I went to the The Sims folder in My Documents and deleted the files there like Accessory.cache, cigen, Groups.cache (everything outside the folders) and the game started again

You could also try to start your game from the start menu instead to see if it would work.

Go in Start, programs, eagames, the sims2 seasons or in the folder of the latest ep that you install.
