Hey girl, this is an awesome tutorial! I never used gimp, I use paint shop pro (almost the same), but I made my recolors an another way. So you get me a lot of great new tips, that how can I make my clothes better! Thank you River that you made this tut! :D

Wow, this is really useful!  I'd like to start making an outfit, but I have a question first... How do I edit an alpha?  Is there a special way to do this, or do I just make the white parts that I don't want to use black?  :/

really short & sweet ~Usually what I do is make the outfit first then copy & paste the outfit on a new layer of your alpha file. you can then use the desaturate tool & play around with the contrast / bright slider till clothing is white & the background is black.
I will eventually do a quickie tut on alphas
