my sim is stuck upstairs and won't go down???

My sim is somehow stuck upstairs. She can do anything she could normally do upstairs, but when I tell her to do something downstairs, or when she tries to herself, a thought bubble comes up, with lots of lines, kind of like rain. Please help, the tiniest would be appreciated. Thanks

Did you recently put something near the bottom of the stairs?

The way your sims is behaving is like something is in the way and stops her from going down.

Is this on a residential lot or vacation lot?

• Press CTRL+SHIFT+C
  
• The debug (cheat) console will open
• Type boolprop testingcheatsenable true in the debug console
  
• Press ENTER - this should close the debug console automatically
  
• Hold down the SHIFT key and click the stuck Sim
  
• A big pie-menu will pop up
• Look for Force Error - you may have to click the More option to find it
  
• Select Force Error
  
• A error warning window will pop up - click the OK
  
• Now try to get the Sim to go downstairs
• If the Sim doesn't go downstairs, you may get another error warning pop-up, make note of what it says and post that error message here
• Also, if the Sim does not go downstairs, try SHIFT+Click on the stairs to see if you can cause a Force Error on the stairs
  
• If you succede in causing an error on the stairs try to get the Sim to go downstairs again
• Whether you fail or succede, make sure to exit cheat mode before entering another lot or playing another sim.
• Press CTRL+SHIFT+C
  
• The debug (cheat) console will open
• Type boolprop testingcheatsenable false in the debug console
  
• Press ENTER - this should close the debug console automatically
