DX10

Can somebody tell me if DX10 works with Sims. I have a radeon HD2600 Pro. I'm having a few problems.

DX10 is supported on HD2900, but from what I am seeing on the DirectX site not especially recommended for HD2600 or Windows XP.

In any event Windows Vista and The Sims 2 seem to hate one another.

Are you running Windows Vista and do you have the latest drivers from the ATI support site?

From what I've seen, Windows Vista and software in general seem to hate each other. But hey, it's only an operating system.

Jase, I was trying to be generous. Frankly, I'll go back to Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Warp 4 & OS/2, or Be OS before I "upgrade" to Windows Vista

Thank you for your help. I am running vista with latest drivers for the graphics. That does explain why I'm having alot of problems.
