Sims 2 Crashing before loading??

I go to start-up my game, and right when it gets to "disgruntling customers" it crashes on me...Is there a reason for this and how can I fix it?

Usually just a bad file, time to sort trough those downloads...

Try removing your downloads entirely first.  If your game starts and loads the neighborhood screen then its a download.  Then you will need to sort through like Mi-chii said.  Try by removing the most recent you've added.  A good idea when downloading is to have a "NEW" folder in your downloads folder, add new stuff to this and start your game to make sure all works.  When you know that it all works you can move it out of there and into whatever organization you have going.
