Which one do you prefer : Cartoony or Realistic sim ?

Opposite spectrum for me... I like my sims cartoony to a point. (...it's quite obvious, really. :lol:) Though, I can't stand the look of some of the "anime" looking sims out there... there are a good number of exceptions, but there are many of those older ones that just look plain outlandish and weird.
The same can go to realistic sims, too. I'm not partial to the "shiny" looking ones, because it takes away the effect of the game to me. Besides, I already have an overactive imagination... seeing "realistic" people in a game scares all heck outta me, and I tend to start thinking "... what if this was for real?" whenever I see them... then it takes a turn for the worse, and I have nightmares about it sometimes. :shock:
So I'm kind of in between, but more on the cartoony effect. Not too goofy-looking and not too real that it's scary. ;)

I think I prefer a bit on the realistic side myself. I prefer soft hair to box looking, starry eyes as opposed to maxis flat, etc.... I also prefer realistic clothing and body shapes (I love the sexy feet!).

I'd prefer more realistic sims-the cartoony types do not do much for me, because I like to think of my sims as being almost real people (in another dimension, of course).
That's why I always download realistic stuff for makeup, hair and skins.
