How do you create bedding?

Hi, this is my first post, so if I posted this in the wrong place please let me know. :)

How does one go about creating custom bedding for the beds that are already in the game. I just want to give my sims some new comforters/bedspreads.

Just a link to a tutorial would be fine, I just don't know where to look for one.

Here is this tutorial. Also on MTS2 RGiles made a great template to show you which parts of the texture is which.
