I also always get def. maxis stuff.  Odd, you'd think a sim growing up would automatically be wearing an outfit you've bought already for that family.

It seems it's really caused by Seasons - since there were some changes made in Seasons that override some aspects of the basic game, e.g. the way sims automatically change into outer wear if there is a wardrobe next to the door, it would make sense.

I'm not 100% sure though, only 99,9%. This is why I'd like to know, whose sims still change into custom content when growing up after the installation of other add-on games (but not Seasons)?

aynia,  that's awesome that your sims grow up wearing cc because mine never have.  have you figured out why they do that?

There is a new tool out now called the The Sims 2 Wardrobe Wrangler Version 1.0 that permits you to "townify" outfits so townie and sims can end-up wearing those.

Does many other wonderful things.

Have you got an expansion pack installed? If so, I found that at least Seasons and Nightlife override this feature (?) of the basic game.
