JennyLynn:

I woke up today in someone's home. It wasn't Jacob's. So where the hell was I? I exited the room I woke in and found myself in a hallway with a staircase at the end. I made my way slowly down the stairs, not knowing who would be at the bottom.

When I reached the lower level, there was a redheaded women to my right painting, as well as a redheaded man to my left, cooking what smelled like pancakes.

???: "You're awake! Finally! We were beginning to think you were seriously hurt." The woman ran up to me, practically dropping her paint onto the floor and grabbed me by the shoulders. She had a thick Southern accent.

Amber: "Uhhh, yeah I'm fine...I hope you don't mind me asking but, who are you?"
???: My apologies. I'm Jillian, Jillian Penince. And over there's my brother, Nathan. Oh! And breakfast's just about done, so come have a seat and I'll fix you up somethin' to wear afterwards."

I sat down at the table with the two strangers. Jillian explained how she and her brother moved down to Arizona when their parents died, and then back up to Missouri where they are now. Jillian just never dropped the Southern accent she picked up. Nathan on the other hand, had not even the slightest hint of an accent. His words were clear, what little he actually spoke. I introduced myself as Amber Venn and as I was going tp explain my reason behind introuding on them last night, Jillian pulled me away from the table and into another room. Hers, I presumed.

Jillian: "You just have yourself a look through that there dresser and pick out something nice."

After I'd pick out clothes that fit my liking, I braided my hair into a side pony-tail as Jillian walked over to me.
Jillian: "Why, you look prettier than the stars at night in all their glory."
Amber: Umm, thank you.
I tried to smile.

Jillian continuoulsy pulled me around her house, telling me all sorts of stories from when Nathan and she were children. She eventually brought me outside and we sat out on the front porch and talked...more.

Jillian: "...And since our parents died, Nathan hasn't been himself. He used to be a successful chef, but he lost all interest in cookin' for money when ma and pa went to Heaven. I know he's still himself deep down, 'cept now he's got some weird fixation on outer space and them stars so high above. Well, enough about our experiences, what brought you here?"

As I tried to explain what had happened to me, my eyes fell upon Nathan. I tried to imagine him talkative, and confident standing over a stove with one of those white chef's hats. I couldn't. He didn't seem the type to show much emotion.

Amber: "Where do I even begin...?"

Amber: "About a week ago, I was staying at my boyfriend, Jacob's home about three hours from here. We've been on and off again numerous time because of...issues."

Amber: "So, I was playing the piano in his recording room and he walked in and listened to me play, I lost tract of how long he stood in the dorrway, just listening to me."

Amber: "Eventually he came over to me and got on his knees. He whispered in me ear and then picked me up."

Amber: "He carried me all the way upstairs to his room and laid me down on the bed."

Amber: "Everything was so romantic, for a while. Then he became, almost angry. Overly aggresive and he ended up throwing me off the bed."

Amber: "He stood on my ankles and I couldn't get him to let go as he bent over and kissed me roughly. His hands gripped my wrists as i twisted and tried to break his grip. Once I finally did, I grabbed my clothes and, almost falling down the stairs, managed to put them back on, then ran. I ran like hell."

Amber: "You'd be amazed how one can run in heels when you're scarred for your life. So I kept running. Out the front door, down the lawn and off his property. I heard his front door slam open and he screamed my name and swore he'd hunt me down and get me back. I had no idea where I'd run to, but I knew I had to get away.  After what felt like hours later, I stopped in a wooded area and rested."

Amber: "I held my head as I tried to rethink what had happened. Again. Running from Jacob. Again. Yet this time, I felt different. I knew then, that never again would I fall for his trickery. I'd never go back to Jacob. Never."
