I don't know what Sims game I need or if the format has to be P.C, as opposed to PS2?

Can anyone tell me what Sims game I need to get and what format etc...?

Yes, it needs to be P.C or Mac. The game is 'The Sims 2' Base game.

If you purchase the Sims 2 and decide you are happy with it, you can then decide to purchase 'expansion packs' which are 'add-ons' to the Sims 2 and provide you with more content and features and expand your gaming experience.
