Okay, I'm sorry if something like this has been asked a million times before.......

My sister's birthday is coming up and she is going to get a Sims 2 Bon Voyage Expansion Pack when the newest expansion pack currently installed on my computer is Seasons. Will I need to delete all my custom content installed for Seasons? If so, how do I do so safely? Thanks!

You don't need to delete all of your custom content- just the hacks- as you will
need new versions of the hacks that are compatible with your latest expansion
pack.

Move the downloads folder to your desktop and install the game.
Once you've installed the game- run it.
Go into your game options and enable custom content.
Exit the game and put your downloads folder back.
Once you run the game again your CC will be there.

just remember that not all the hacks needs updating for the new EP's, even though a lot of them do. but move them out just to be sure. save all your hacks to a folder outside the game folder, and go look for the updates - or see if they don't need an update. it's a smart thing to save the link to the site you found the hack. it makes it easier to find updates. good luck Smiley

Okay. So, would it be unsafe if I completly deleted it?

And also, would it crash my game if I didn't delete the hacks and just disabled custom content? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but most people on this website probably know A LOT more than I do about this kind of thing. Thanks so much!

it wouldnt be unsafe to delete all of your CC, but keep in mind that you probably used a lot of it in your lots and once you deleted it it won't show up in your game.
The safest thing is just delete the hacks BEFORE you install BV and get the updated version of the hacks once your game is installed!

Good luck

(just a note: remember that you can edit your posts with the edit button in the right corner of the posts. saves frustration for the modders and everyone else.)
