Getting an error when installing..

hey all.... well...i recently formatted my pc and when to put my sim2 games back on..when i start to put them on the base game and all the ep's were giving me an error message after i put the key in---

Ereg has encountered a problem and needs to close

  and so on...blar blar send error report.....Dont send

but when i click dont send or send... it loads the game anyway.. so first i continued and it all went on.. then i started to load up the game and it got suck when trying to load a town... so uninstall them and try again.. the same thing happen....im running XP sp3 and have all the games (ep's) and i did get all the patches first too....any ideas???
