Packaging Already-Made Sims

I'm not sure how to package sims that I created in CAS instead of bodyshop. I want to save all of my sims so that nothing happens to them. But they are already ingame. Can someone help me out?

I think I saw this topic or a how to or something on here somewhere- let me see if I can find it-

I know you can just do a back-up of your file if that helps?  

I'll post back if I find the thread I'm thinking of- if not I am sure someone else knows how to do this. :)
