Just installed the sims2 bon voyage
Game works good in starting up etc etc.But...when i get into one of my neighborhoods the screen flickers and the water by the land turns to a mesh texture and the color of a dark blue instead of light blue.Plus sometimes houses ,trees, moving cars, will turn invisible on and off the screen.Maybe my problem is that i have windows vista.Someone told me i need a new video or graphics card but i dont know which one will truly work.PLz and thanks if anyone had the same scenario

We don't know either, without knowing more about your computer. What are your computer specs (Processor, RAM, Video card)?

A video/graphics card is the same thing.

It might be your video memory.

yes I agree with EK.. it might be your memory because I was having problems with my computer screen bringing all these errors messages and come to findout that I had a defaulty memory stick.. so if you just installed new memory

take the memory you just installed out and see if that helps
and then one by one put it back in if you have more then one momery stick

What EPs do you have? That will make a BIG difference on the system requirements.

You posted this in BV help and you don't have BV? It should have gone in General Help then.

Your computer meets the system requirements for the EPs you have. Check one more thing and it will help narrow it down. Go into My Documents>EA Games>Sims 2>Logs and look to see if you have any error logs whose name starts with "Sims2Exception" followed by a date and time stamp. Open the most recent one and look at the second line of the log. If the second line starts out with the text "Exception code: 0xC0000005", then that's a pretty good indication you have some bad RAM.
