Ok this might be stupid but I would like to know where I can make text like the one people use at contests.... an example... are they doing this in photoshop or is there a site or something??????

I'm not an expert on figuring out where images came from, but to me it looks like it was photoshopped. If you want to know exactly what they did, I would PM whoever posted it.

Yes, it's a Photoshop job. For that they've typed in the text using black, then gone into Blending effects and chosen Stroke, set the colour to white, as well as Outer Glow - can't tell what settings they've used through just looking, you'll have to play around with that one.

You can get all kinds of effects through Photoshop, it's well worth having a play :) You can find tutorials online that may help :google:
